
About the Artist
Louise was born in Toronto and received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in Medieval Art and Literature. She started painting in London, UK and had two exhibitions there before moving to Chicago, Illinois where she continued to paint and exhibit. Louise moved to Rossland, BC in 1994 and was an active member in Community Arts for 30 years. In 2005 she started the Firehall Gallery co-operative in Rossland which later became the Rouge Gallery until 2013. Louise maintained her own studio/gallery in Rossland and exhibited her work in regional galleries and shows. In 2024 she moved to Vancouver and joined the Studio Artists in the Federation of Canadian Artists building on Granville Island.
